LST-2 Truss & LSE-2 Enclosure

The LST-2 speaker support truss is disigned to be used with a variety of backboxes by other manufacturers.
Our own LSE-2 speaker enclosure is designed to work with the LST-2.

If you want to use both our truss and enclosure, a better choice is probably the SST-1.

The LST-2 Truss will fit any speaker baffle with mounting holes spaced as shown, as well as Torsion Spring Grilles listed below. (All screws included)

LST-2 Truss ... Special Applications

LST-2 Speaker Support Truss is to be used when the architect has specified or the electrician has already installed a conduit and back box system that will not adapt to our SST-1 Truss, or when any of the following back cans, torsion-spring grilles, Bose Model 102 speakers, or the J.W. Davis Model SLC-1010 speakers are to be used.

Complies with the mechanical and acoustical requirements of U.L. 1480(UUMW) and U.L. 2043 test standard, for use in Air Handling-Spaces.

LSE-2 Speaker Enclosure ... Use With LSE-2 Truss

LSE-2 Enclosure may also be used in architect specified "fixed" conduit systems where no Speaker Truss is used and the Speaker Grilles screw directly into the Back Can (enclosure.) Conduit knockout for 1/2" and 3/4" conduit. NOTE: if the LSE-2 Enclosure is used in this method, you must order four (4)TN-8 Tinnerman nuts for each LST-2 (see accessories)

HS-4, Hanging Straps, (4 -4" long straps per box) to hang LSE-2 in a metal lathe and plastic ceiling if required. (See accessories page) Customarily, philips head screws (#8 x 1 1/4" white) are supplied. However, we can supply slot head screws at no extra charge.

Our LSE-2 Speaker Enclosure is designed for use with our LST-2 Speaker Truss. The LSE-2 Enclosure will work with the Soundolier, Lowell, and Quam (as well as others with mounting holes as indicated above) Support Trusses for 8" speakers.

The LST-2 Speaker Truss will work with (but not limited to) all of these "screw-on" type baffles (grilles) for 8" speakers. (These are the same as listed for the SST-1 and SE-1 listed on another page.)

With the combination LST-2 and TSB-1, you do not have to use a Torsion Spring Back Box. Use any of the plain (non-torsion) Spring Back Boxes listed below.
In addition, the LST-2 Truss can be used with all Torsion Spring Back Boxes for 8" speakers. However, for simplicity and ease of installation, we suggest using the LST-2 with the TSB-1 along with a plain (non-torsion spring) Back Box, such as our LSE-2 Back Box.The LST-2 Truss will fit any speaker baffle with mounting holes spaced as shown, as well as Torsion Spring Grilles listed below. (All screws included)

Torsion Spring Type Baffles (Grilles)

Use the TSB-1 Torsion Spring Brackets (see accessories page) on the LST-2 Truss to install virtually every Torsion Spring Baffle for 8" Speakers.

The LSE-2 Enclosure, when used in conjunction with our LST-2 Speaker Truss, will combine with any U.L. Listed 8" speaker assembly to make a complete assembly that is U.L. Listed for use in air-handling spaces.
